Newton Amtrak Station

Take the train that is closest to the airport. You must drive, hire a rideshare, or take a taxi from the airport to get to Newton Amtrak Station. The duration of the trip varies based on the route taken by your driver.

You have a choice of three ways to reach Newton Amtrak Station:

  • Via I-235 N and I-135 N - This is the quickest route due to traffic. The distance from the airport is 33 miles, and the ride takes 33 minutes. Departing from Eisenhower Airport Pkwy, take US-400 E/US-54 E. To get to E 1st St in Newton, take I-235 and I-135 north. Take the I-135 N exit 31, then keep driving on E 1st St. until you reach N Main St., where the Amtrak station is.
  • Via Ridge Rd S and S Kansas Rd - The route is 31.7 miles and requires a 43-minute ride. Take the Eisenhower Airport Parkway. And to get to the Newton Amtrak station, take S Main St, S Kansas Rd, and Ridge Rd S.
  • Via I-135 N - This route requires a 45-minute drive and covers 35.6 miles. From S Tyler Rd and West 53rd St N in Park City, take I-135 N/KS-15 N/US-81 N to N Main St in Newton to reach the Amtrak station.

At the Newton Amtrak Station, you can find an accessible restroom, a ticket window, and a vending machine. In the train station, unaccompanied children are not permitted to travel. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before departure.

The ticket office is open only Monday through Friday, from 12:00 am to 8:00 am.

From Monday through Sunday, the station's waiting area is open from 1:00 am to 4:00 am.
